Audit Activity CoordinatorEnters and tracks the status of external audit activity from initial audit request through appeal lifecycle in department-specific applicationsPerforms data entry utilizing a variety sources to capture patient claim information. Validates and verifies data entered by checking reports for errors and correcting as needed.Extracts information from database to compile reports and other documents as needed. Communicates with external entities involved in the audit process.Maintains knowledge to interpret, understand, and apply complex Medicare guidelines regarding claims denials and appeals as well as third-party vendor requirements for review of denials.Problem-solves claims issues or software tracking issues and reports recurring or unusual issues to supervisor.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.One year of experience in high volume data entry with high levels of accuracy.
