Hard stops: Applicants need to have trauma, neuro, vascular and ortho experience due to trauma status. May need to cover one night shift within their contract as needed. Start date: ASAP. Years of experience required: 2. First-timers accepted: Yes. Weekends required: Yes. Is on-call required? Yes, call will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every 6 weeks. This could be up to 6-8 shifts in a 6 week period (including nights, evenings and weekends/8 hrs). Will this traveler need to float between like units? Yes. Open to accommodating block schedule? Per manager discretion. Locals accepted: Yes. Pending license accepted: No. RTO restrictions: RTO must be included at time of submission. Hospital highlights: Type of facility: Acute care hospital. Patient age groups: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics. Daily census: 25 cases. Interdisciplinary support: Respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretary. Patient diagnoses: Orthopedics (total joints and ortho trauma); neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU & GYN. Special procedures/unit details: Require: OR RNs with trauma, ortho, general, vascular, neuro, plastics, ENT. No unit secretary on night shift. Night shifts are usually staffed with 2 people - 1RN/1 ST or 2RN's, one who acts as the scrub. Having one team staffed with a trauma team on call is standard within the system. Special equipment: May need to cover one night shift within their contract as needed. Holidays: Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Can only submit to 1 location within the region. Requires specific amount of exp. (ex: 1 or 2 yrs required for submission). Valid CA license in hand. Local radius: 50 mile radius rule applies. Local rule: accepted at lower BR. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals nearby. Copy of certifications. Specific charting exp.: Epic. Return staff policy: 3 months to return as traveler. References required: 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start. Can include charge RNs/lead. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby your contracted facility. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. If required for the assignment, client agrees to supply providers with communication devices (i.e. cell phone, pager, etc.) needed to perform the duties as assigned at no cost to provider or agency. If client does not provide a mobile phone required for the assignment, client agrees to pay agency monthly, for all work-related cell phone use by each provider, up to a maximum amount of $50.00 as invoiced by agency. Providers will be responsible for submitting monthly cell phone bill directly to agency. Housing: Please have your traveler look into housing options in the area, as options may be limited. Modules: Modules are non-billable, average 16 hours spent. Over 20 hours requires PM approval. Modules are completed pre-start, and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported, completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts.
