HR Lead - Global Hedge Fund - Up to £400k total comp

We are working with a well-established global hedge fund with a strong international track record and a growing presence in the United States. As the US platform continues to scale, the firm is now making its first dedicated HR hire in New York. The firm has a mature, high-functioning HR function internationally, but the New York office represents a blank canvas, so you will have ability to develop this with the support of the wider group infrastructure. You will work directly with the C-suite and have influence over how the business shapes itself in this market. Responsibilities will include establishing HR policies, processes and frameworks; leading on talent, performance, compensation and employee relations; and working collaboratively with the international HR team to ensure coherence across the global business. Over time, there will be scope to build out a team beneath this role as the US platform grows. The firm is looking for someone with credibility and judgement to advise at the most senior level, and who is energised by building rather than maintaining. You will need to be both strategic, capable of thinking about what good looks like over a 3-to-5 year horizon, and hands-on enough to get into the detail when the situation requires it. It is important to have some exposure to financial services. Being a new hire, the firm have a flexible budget so pay will depend on the candidate's experience.
