Student Services Analyst – Sign Language Job ID: 322787 Location: Mesa Community College Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Compensation Hiring Salary Range: $52,525 – $68,282 Annually DOE Grade: 114 Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Summer Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Work Calendar: 12 Months Job Summary Mesa Community College’s Disability Resources and Support Services team seeks a full‑time Student Services Analyst to coordinate accessibility services and accommodations for students with hearing impairments. The analyst will facilitate communication for students with hearing impairments by coordinating and managing sign‑language interpreters and other communication access services in classrooms, college events, faculty meetings, and prospective student engagements. Essential Functions Conduct assessments to determine the needs of students with disabilities and provide access for deaf students; develop and implement individualized support plans. Advocate for student rights and access to services; coordinate with other healthcare and service providers; provide consultation and guidance to students and their families; assist students in accessing educational and employment opportunities. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support plans; stay updated with standards of practice and current laws and regulations related to disabilities. Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions. Maintain detailed records and documentation of student interactions; provide guidance and consultation regarding accommodations under Federal and State law, the Rehabilitation Act, the ADA, and MCCD policy. Provide academic accommodations to an assigned caseload of students; implement Guided Pathways framework; connect students with academic and personal resources; conduct proactive outreach and follow‑up to ensure learning outcomes. Assist with development and delivery of training on federal and state law, the Rehabilitation Act, the ADA, and MCCD policy; develop, maintain, and deliver presentations or workshops. Coordinate, implement, and evaluate DRS processes and procedures; make recommendations for program improvements. Stay current on assistive technology services and disability law; manage program coordination and operational planning; perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act, Guided Pathways, and the ADA. Two (2) or more years of experience providing professional‑level academic advisement or accommodations for students with disabilities. One (1) or more years of experience accessing and maintaining student data in a student information system. Experience developing and delivering group presentations, trainings, or workshops. Experience implementing student success strategies to increase persistence, retention, and completion rates. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with interpreter services and Deaf culture are required. One year of relevant full‑time MCCCD experience within the previous two years. Special Working Conditions Standard work schedule varies: August through mid‑May, Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour days. Mid‑May through July, Monday‑Thursday, 10‑hour days. Requires prolonged sitting and computer use. May be required to travel or assigned to another MCCCD location; interview travel at candidate's expense. MCC does not sponsor work visas.
