Specimen Processor I

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Sunrise, Florida to prepare and process laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing. The role involves specimen handling, labeling, routing, and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory environment with an evening and rotating Saturday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing according to protocols
- Unpack, route, and organize specimens to designated staging and testing areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack and ship specimens to proper facilities
- Perform patient data entry and resolve specimen issues with documentation
- Meet departmental production goals and properly store excess samples
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens safely
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong organizational and data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must pass standardized color blindness test
