Job Title

Candidates are eligible for an increased hourly rate based on skillset. Please note which shift the candidate is interested in working. Role Location: Lancaster, PA DC Physical Address is 500 S Muddy Creek Road, Denver, PA 17517. Candidates will interview onsite at Lancaster DC. Role Duration: Initial 4 months Shifts: 2nd and 3rd shift Schedule: Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat 2nd shift, 2:30pm 11:00pm Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat 3rd shift 10:30pm - 7:00am Flexible for weekend work as well as overtime. Is there a possibility this assignment be extended? Yes, based on performance. Is there a possibility this assignment will convert to full time? Yes, based on performance. If hired as a full time Albertsons employee, worker is required to join onsite union.

Position Purpose

Successful candidate will be responsible for, according to level of experience and necessary licensing, repair and maintain facility and equipment including HVAC, conveyor systems, sanitation equipment, and material handling equipment and battery replacement.

Responsibilities

Emphasis on warehouse maintenance experience. Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and safely. Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule. Desire skill sets include hydraulic, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance, major overhaul of equipment, fabrication of parts, air conditioning and heating system, and adjustment. Stay abreast of current technology regarding job duties. Perform inspection of doors and dock plates, and all other building and support areas. Recognize problems and repairs before breakdown occurs. Independently troubleshoot and make repairs. Maintain accurate repair records through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Follow company policies and procedures. Ensure a safe work environment. Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.

Requirements

Must initially provide own hand tools - List will be provided. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, perform repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and heights. Ability to operate power equipment and hand tools, forklifts and pallet jacks and diagnostic equipment. Work environment may range in temperatures from 90 to 0 F. Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Ability to read and comprehend all labeling on hazardous materials and equipment in the facility.
