Job Summary:
Seeking a Supplier Development Engineer with 3 5 years of experience to develop, qualify, and improve suppliers for non-metallic components/cowling assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, supplier audits, and injection molding/thermoforming/composites, along with strong problem-solving and supplier quality skills.
Job Title: Supplier Development Engineer
Location: Pelzer, SC
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, qualify, and improve suppliers for non-metallic cowling components.
- Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and improvement plans.
- Support tooling transfers, process readiness, APQP, and PPAP.
- Develop/review PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow.
- Drive supplier quality and continuous improvement using 8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, Lean Six Sigma.
- Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams on launches and design reviews.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's in Engineering/Technical field.
- 3 5 years in Supplier Quality / Supplier Development / Manufacturing Engineering.
- Non-metallic manufacturing experience: Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Thermoforming, or Composites.
- Strong APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, DOE, GD&T knowledge.
- Strong supplier problem-solving and corrective-action experience.
Preferred:
Tooling Transfer, Mold Flow Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Marine/Cowling, NPI/APQP Launch experience.
