Job Description
This entry-level CNC Operator role supports the operation of CNC machinery used to process and fabricate precision glass products in a growing industrial manufacturing environment. You will load materials, run pre-programmed CNC machines, and perform basic quality checks while receiving on-the-job training to build your machining and CNC skills. This position is ideal for motivated, hands-on individuals who want to learn CNC operations, work with precision tools, and grow within a fast-expanding manufacturing company.
Responsibilities

• Load and securely position glass materials or parts into CNC machines to prepare for production runs.
• Operate CNC machines using pre-programmed settings and monitor production runs to ensure consistent output.
• Perform basic quality checks using measuring tools to confirm that parts meet specifications and job requirements.
• Inspect finished products and compare them against job documentation and quality standards.
• Make minor adjustments to machine settings to maintain accuracy, quality, and production flow.
• Maintain CNC machines and the surrounding work area by cleaning, removing debris, and performing basic upkeep.
• Follow all safety procedures and consistently use required personal protective equipment in a glass manufacturing environment.
• Work closely with team leads and supervisors to meet daily production, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Assist with material handling activities such as loading, unloading, and staging materials for production.
• Support general production tasks including assembly, packaging, inspection, and inventory-related activities as needed.
• Use hand tools, mechanical tools, and basic troubleshooting techniques to support machine operation.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, manuals, and instructions related to CNC and manual machining operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 1+ years of machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and use basic measuring tools.
• Ability to work with decimals and basic measurements for quality checks and machine setup.
• Basic understanding of machine operation and general production processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Willingness to learn CNC equipment, processes, and machining techniques.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, repetitive, and physically demanding industrial environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machining operations, including CNC machines, mills, lathes, and manual machines.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Experience operating forklifts or performing material handling tasks.
• Exposure to assembly, general production, loading, packaging, and inspection activities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic mechanical drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and basic tooling.
• Basic troubleshooting skills related to machine operation and production issues.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment
This role is based in a hands-on industrial glass manufacturing facility on a structured first shift schedule of 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM as needed. The work takes place on the production floor in a fast-paced, repetitive setting where employees handle glass materials and operate CNC machinery. The environment is physical, requiring standing for most of the shift, lifting materials, and performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Safety is a central focus due to the risks associated with handling glass and operating machinery, and employees are expected to consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
