Clinical Lab Associate III, Pre-Analytical

Abbott

Abbott seeks a Clinical Lab Associate III for pre-analytical specimen processing at its Madison facility. The role involves leading production workflows, automation troubleshooting, sample problem resolution, and supporting operational initiatives within a diagnostic laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

Lead production workflow and support automation troubleshooting in specimen processing
Resolve advanced sample and storage issues; conduct audits and maintenance
Monitor production reports, track goal progress, and support employee feedback
Support development and editing of standard operating procedures and team meetings
Ensure compliance with Quality Management System policies and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years laboratory, medical, or high-throughput environment experience
1+ year leading, mentoring, or coaching others
Knowledge of CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and HIPAA regulations
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
Ability to lift 40 pounds and work standing/seated for extended periods
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
