Part-Time Biology Lab Technician

Compensation Range $14.00 - $14.00 Hourly Range $14.00 Position Summary Monitors and coordinates the activities of and provides support and assistance to assigned biology laboratories to enable effective and safe lab operations. Job Duties Assists full-time Lab Staff with preparing all materials and equipment for lab exercises. Maintains the organization, cleanliness and security of the biology lab stockrooms, prep areas and adjoining labs. This part-time position will not exceed 29 hours of work in a week. The position requires flexibility in the work schedule from term to term to fulfill the needs of the department. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma is required or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Successfully completed Organic Chemistry I and Chemistry II and have attained at least junior status at a local university or college (i.e., completed associate's degree). Good knowledge of basic biology lab procedures and safety protocols.
