Laboratory Technician for Metals or Semi Volatiles Labs

Training provided for applicants with strong analytical skills and/or recent graduates with a science focused degree. Excellent opportunities for advancement to analyst. Flexible and part time schedules possible for current college attendees. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare environmental samples according to approved test methods and JEL SOPs. Utilize and understand essential LIMS requirements for sample preparation batching and tracking. Perform basic Instrument maintenance and repair as needed. Utilize LIMS functions including generating work lists, obtaining updating job status and data approval. Perform preparation of analytical standards. Maintain all required documentation with accuracy and clarity. Read, understand and perform all applicable laboratory SOPs as written. Perform initial and annual Demonstrations of Capability. Maintain familiarity with quality control measures and calculations required for applicable methods. Ensure laboratory glassware is properly cleaned and maintained. Follow all JEL Safety, Ethics and Quality practices. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
