Component Inspector

Smith is currently seeking opportunities for detail-oriented, motivated, efficient and talented personnel to join our Global Operations team. Job Purpose To support Operations by performing electronic component inspections and shipping and receiving duties. Principle Accountabilities Verify information visually, using various microscopic equipment and the naked eye, to insure the component matches manufacturer specifications To receive and ship orders in a timely fashion Unload all inbound shipments from various carriers Open boxes, separate product and place in bins along with the waybill and pack list Utilize our proprietary system to complete, in detail, the component inspection and receiving process Examine components for physical defects Verify Purchase Order/Sales Order requirements are met Communicate with appropriate individuals when discrepancies arise Complete internal /external labels per customer requirements Document product and shipping condition through pictures Package material in appropriate containers with sufficient padding and protection Place required paperwork in/on shipments Job Qualifications Minimum 1 year component or product inspection experience a plus Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel a plus Written and oral communication skills a must Multi-tasking and organization skills required Minimum 1 year warehouse experience a plus Knowledge of the electronics distribution field is helpful Smith is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
