Associate Attorney

Overview DeWitt LLP seeks a full-time associate attorney in Minneapolis, MN with an interest in family law, including custody, orders for protection, prenuptial agreements, and child support. Preference for two or more years of experience in family law, but candidates with fewer years may be considered. The right candidate is creative, curious, patient, and has a sense of humor. Responsibilities Provide legal counsel and represent clients in family law matters including custody, protective orders, prenuptial agreements, and child support. Manage multiple matters and coordinate with other attorneys to meet deadlines. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Maintain high-quality work product and professional client communication. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Admission to the Minnesota Bar. Minimum two years of relevant experience in family law (including clerkships). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
