Job Title: EEG Technologist Profession: Operations Specialty: Medical Group Operations Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, EEG certification (unless grandfathered in from experience) Must-Have: Neonatal experience, electrode placement, prepping patient, recording/measuring, pattern recognition, wrapping head for continuous EEG Description: The position involves working with a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatric patients. Common patient cases include seizures, strokes, trauma, and other neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a range of procedures related to EEG testing. Patient ratios will typically be 1:1. Collaboration with other EEG technicians and rapid response teams is expected. Experience with charting systems such as Epic is preferred. Knowledge of Nihon Kohden software is required. This role may require floating to the ICU for testing purposes. Weekend shifts will be required on a rotating basis. If a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, the candidate will be expected to work.
