Bilingual Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant - German/English Join to apply for the Bilingual Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant - German/English role at Rödl & Partner USA Job Description We are seeking a German-speaking Bookkeeper/Accountant for our Business Processing Outsourcing Department in Atlanta. The ideal candidate is positive, self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks within deadlines while maintaining professional standards. Responsibilities Consult clients and their parent companies on accounting, business administration, and taxation Manage assigned client responsibilities Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, yearly) File sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and other forms Process payroll Communicate project statuses timely within the team Own engagement tasks, anticipate issues, and develop completion plans within budget Research technical issues and consult with Managers/Partners as needed Perform other related duties as required Qualifications Associate Degree in Accounting or higher, or German Steuerfachangestellte(r) At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting Proficiency in German language Experience with QuickBooks Basic understanding of US tax system Ability to work efficiently under pressure Independent work ethic within an administrative framework Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and Adobe Strong team player with excellent client service skills Discretion handling confidential information Effective prioritization and multitasking skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Skills Knowledge of US-GAAP, HGB Experience with Peachtree and SAP About Rödl & Partner We serve foreign-owned US subsidiaries, mainly from German-speaking countries, across various industries.
