Job Summary

The first cook is directly responsible for overseeing the preparation of all food and beverage items. The position requires that the successful candidate be able to prepare meals for three to 15 people. Sometimes the number of people coming for a meal is known at short notice so adaptive capabilities are helpful. Responsibilities also include ordering food and meal planning. Knowledge of special diets and consistencies is a plus but not required.

Recruitment Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have at least 5 years of experience in high-volume production and be certified in sanitation. A degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent is preferred but not required. Must be able to read, write, and take verbal direction. Must be flexible in scheduling and available for weekend rotation.
