The City of Lake Forest is seeking a dynamic Building Official. This is a hands‑on, working position that requires daily face‑to‑face interaction with residents, contractors, developers, and business owners. The Building Official will oversee a team of 3 Permit Technicians and 2 Building Inspectors. The Building Official will provide input into hiring, training, and staff development in coordination with the Community Development Director. The primary mission of the Building Division is to provide responsive, solution‑oriented service to the residents and business community while ensuring compliance with applicable safety codes.
