Associate Installation Technician - Denver, CO

Responsibilities On‑site installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and ancillary equipment such as room cameras, video monitors, and video signals. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, project engineering, project management, field service) and external teams (electricians, plumbers, contractors, perioperative hospital staff) to ensure project success. Confirm site readiness, perform detailed inventory of installable equipment, and communicate any issues to the project team for resolution. Install all surgical light suspension systems, booms, video integration systems, and associated cabling to deliver appropriate video signals; install ancillary equipment in accordance with quality, safety, and applicable state, industry, and international standards. Program, test, and inspect video integration sources according to design specifications and safety standards. Execute functional and quality checks of installable equipment, document results, and ensure project sign‑off. Maintain accurate records of equipment installation and associated activities; complete daily update reports and other administrative work promptly. Provide project updates to stakeholders and coordinate with Quality to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. Interpret complex wire diagrams, CAD drawings, and infrastructure requirements for electrical and network needs; understand basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking as related to integration products. Train in identical installation and integration practices across locations to ensure consistency. Coordinate and book travel arrangements, manage daily schedule to ensure timely arrival and completion of all installation activities. Maintain stakeholder relationships, communicate progress, and provide basic operational training to customers as needed. Manage and maintain inventory of assigned tools and equipment and respond to customer service inquiries. Communicate lessons learned and provide feedback to cross‑functional partners to improve business processes. Adhere to all safety policies and standards, complete required PPE training, and advocate for safe work practices. Maintain product, quality, and process standards through the Learning Management System. Physical Requirements Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently; negligible force constantly to move objects. Use equipment including ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks; climb ladders and work in confined spaces and overhead. Maintain near visual acuity (corrected) and color vision; required mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity. Communicate effectively via cell phone, text, and email; possess a valid, state‑issued Driver’s License and be able to operate a motor vehicle safely. Travel by commercial airline as required. Demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and willingness to handle constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Use good judgment to analyze and resolve non‑routine testing and equipment issues. Locate, comprehend, and follow detailed installation instructions and procedures; explain findings clearly to onsite trades or vendors. Identify out‑of‑scope issues and communicate them via appropriate escalation pathways. Apply critical thinking to resolve project roadblocks related to environmental or infrastructure challenges while adhering to safety standards. Interact appropriately with diverse individuals, including customers and internal partners; read and navigate technical manuals and project documents with acute attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Skills / Experience Required 0–2 years of related technical experience (telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device, hospital biomed). Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with relevant applications. Ability to operate small hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, strippers, crimpers, etc.), power tools, and test equipment (data loggers, strip recorders, micrometers, voltmeters, waveform/vectorscopes, etc.). Education / Training High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferred but not required. 0–2 years of technical experience or comparable skill set. Pay and Travel USN: \$28.01–\$38.75 USD hourlyUS10: \$30.82–\$42.63 USD hourly. 100% travel required; travel, lodging, and meal expenses are paid in accordance with Stryker Corporate Travel Policy.
