Nursing Assistant (CNA)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist the program nurse with measuring and recording children's vital signs Accurately and promptly report health information and concerns to the program nurse Conduct daily health checks and follow up on medical issues or concerns Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records Enter child health documentation into electronic software systems Perform basic first aid and clinical skills under the direction of the program nurse Provide appropriate adjunct care and refer care to the school nurse or director when outside the CNA scope of practice Participate in required Head Start health screenings, including hearing, vision, and nutrition screenings Help maintain current physical and dental examination records for each child Collaborate with program nurses and other team members to provide high-quality health, oral health, mental health, and nutritional services Help ensure services are developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate and support each child's growth and school readiness Every day, you'll play an important role in helping children feel healthy, safe, supported, and ready to learn.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Strong tech skills; computer/data-entry skills Ability to speak and understand English Valid Massachusetts driver's license Must be at least 18 years of age Preferred: 1-2 years of healthcare experience Pediatric or school-based healthcare experience is a plus Internship, clinical, work-study, and volunteer experience may be considered Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required We're looking for someone who is caring, organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a collaborative team. #J-18808-Ljbffr South Shore Community Action Council, Inc.
