Assistant Fitness Manager

Position Purpose Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and deliver an exceptional fitness experience to all members. Responsibilities Ensure daily targets are met, especially during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent, by leading the team and driving sales initiatives. Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building strong rapport with members. Achieve and exceed sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the club experience. Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals. Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal training sales, retention, and engagement. Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and ongoing support. Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols. Qualifications 2‑3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of sales experience. 1 year of supervisory experience. Strong interest in the fitness industry and a passion for fitness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with members, clients, employees, management, and vendors. Excellent relationship building and influencing skills across all levels and functions. Strong detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, and time‑management skills. Embrace our core values and culture. Requirements Must be available to work nights and weekends. Must pass a background check. Must possess a valid Personal Training certification. Must obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Must be able to work in a gym setting, move around floors and rooms, and communicate with staff and members. Must be able to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs. Must be able to access and operate the company computer system for data entry, reporting, and communication. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $15 USD. Variable income opportunities including commission and bonus. Post‑training salary increase. Free membership for employee and plus one family member.
