Communications and Content Manager

Seeking a versatile and editorially sharp Communications and Content Manager, this full-time remote position will manage the production of high-quality content including newsletters, blogs, and social media, while collaborating with various teams to enhance CDI's presence in higher education. Key responsibilities Manage the editorial calendar and produce the higher education newsletter, blog, and social content, ensuring a reliable publishing cadence Transform CDI's research into various content formats, including blog posts and social media, to maximize audience reach Support media relations by maintaining press lists, drafting pitches, and tracking media coverage to enhance CDI's earned media goals Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in communications, content marketing, editorial, or journalism, preferably in a mission-driven or higher education context Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content pieces and deadlines effectively Exceptional writing and editing skills, producing clear and accurate content across various formats Experience in building media relationships and understanding newsworthiness Familiarity with content and marketing tools, including CMS and email platforms, as well as modern AI tools for content production
