General areas of responsibility include providing leadership for the organization's customer-facing associates and branch functions. Positions in operations leadership are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization's branches, areas, and other geographic units and KOB groups.Areas of Impact:Delivers job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Work consists of tasks that are very routine, or well defined, with specific instructions to achieve standardized solutions.Problem solving:Problems and issues faced are routine and solutions are clear. Follows a well-established and familiar set of job activities and/or job process to solve a problem.Position will train at Brookshire, TX location for approximately 6 months and could be moved to another Houston area locationSchedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pmPay: $20 an hour and up based on experienceJob duties:Act within the scope of established objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goalsUnder the direction of the manager, maintain inventories, conduct physical inventories, maintain location appearance, and complete day-to-day paperworkWork with vendors and Ferguson shared services division to clear vendor pricing discrepanciesFacilitate customer credit memos with accuracy based on company guidelinesWork WMS Variance and Cycle Count ReconciliationDevelop or implement quality control programsImplements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, and customer satisfactionReview customer invoices for pricing and costing accuracy as well as freight billing and costingOversee the facilities of the operation to provide a safe and well-maintained work environmentPerforms all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and proceduresParticipates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to managementQualifications and requirements:1 - 3 years sales experience is preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel required, knowledge of Trilogie a plusStrong attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated/goal orientedAbility to effectively multi-taskOrganization and time management skillsExcellent decision making and communication skillsKnowledge of WMS/HighJump prefered but not requiredAbility to handle stressTeam player with good attitudeUnderstands importance of customer serviceWillingness to help in other areas, besides operations, when neededAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
