LVN / LPN – Pediatrics

Location: Flushing, NY 11355
Duration: 14 Weeks – Possibility of Extension
Shift: Days | 5×7 Hours
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Alternate Schedule: 9:15 AM – 5:15 PM based on department needs
Lunch: 60-minute unpaid lunch break

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care and support within a pediatric healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and preferably prior pediatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and clinical support to pediatric patients
• Monitor and document patient conditions and vital signs
• Assist with patient assessments and routine nursing procedures
• Follow established infection control and safety practices
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow appropriate delegation and nursing care principles
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
• Provide care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• Current New York State LPN license and registration
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Knowledge of infection control principles
• Knowledge of performance improvement principles
• Knowledge of delegation principles
• LPN training and pediatric experience preferred
