Corporate Accountant for AI Training

Role Overview
Join a leading AI lab as a corporate / controllership accountant, where your expertise will contribute to the development of high-quality training data for AI systems. This role focuses on translating essential accounting operations, such as financial reporting, month-end close, and bookkeeping, into structured data that enhances AI''s understanding of real-world accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design realistic scenarios based on your controllership experience, including financial statement preparation, journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, month-end and period-end close, fixed-asset and depreciation schedules, accruals, and prepaids.
Review and compare AI-generated accounting outputs for accuracy, GAAP compliance, and sound professional judgment.
Provide clear written feedback to improve AI performance in close and reporting tasks.
Collaborate asynchronously with the research team to ensure alignment and quality.
Ideal Qualifications
CPA or 3, 5+ years of corporate/in-house or firm accounting experience (no niche certification required).
Hands-on ownership of the general ledger and the period-end close process.
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency with common accounting tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and Excel.
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
Work Terms
This is a remote, hourly position.
Compensation
The hourly rate ranges from $80 to $120.
