Counter Sales Representative / Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a Counter Sales Representative / Warehouse Associate to provide exceptional customer service while supporting daily warehouse operations. This hybrid role combines customer-facing counter sales responsibilities with hands-on warehouse duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers and contractors while also assisting with order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors in a professional and friendly manner
• Assist customers in identifying products and solutions that meet their needs
• Process sales orders, quotations, returns, and transactions accurately
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
• Support branch sales goals through product knowledge and customer engagement

Warehouse Operations

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Receive and verify incoming inventory shipments
• Stock shelves and maintain organized storage areas
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory management activities
• Ensure customer orders are accurate and completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

Required Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of basic computer experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn internal systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong customer-focused mindset
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn products, systems, and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hardware, home improvement, or building supply retail environments
• Counter sales experience in wholesale distribution
• Knowledge of the local market
• Previous experience in:

• Customer service

• Plumbing supply
• HVAC supply
• Electrical supply
• Construction materials

• Forklift experience (training may be provided)
