Armtec is comprised of three business units producing subcomponents for ordnance in Coachella, CA; decoy countermeasure flares in Camden AR; and radar countermeasure chaff in Lillington NC. Job Overview Title: Senior Quality Auditor Job Family: Quality Admin Support Reports to: Director of Quality Assurance Works with: Mid‑level managers and supervisors, employees and engineers Location: Coachella, California (may be required to support other audit functions at ARO and NCO) Type: Full‑Time Job Summary Responsible for performing audits on products and systems, establishing and implementing an effective Corrective Action System, following up to assure timely and appropriate responses to Corrective Action Requests, and auditing the effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of original deficiencies. Leads and manages audit efforts, both internal and external, ensuring they are completed accurately and efficiently. Plays a key role in planning audit scope, objectives, and methodology. Primary Responsibilities Develop annual audit schedule, make updates as needed, and publish the schedule for senior leadership Establish and develop a method of evaluation to be utilized when performing audits Perform audits in accordance with the annual audit schedule and established format Prepare detailed audit reports describing conditions found and requirements not met; reports written accurately to guide management decision making Notify responsible parties in advance of scheduled audits and plan accordingly to conduct audits timely with minimal interruptions Coordinate audit activities with all individuals involved in the audit Prepare management reports describing status of activities regarding DCMC Quality Deficiency Reports Issue Corrective Action Reports on deficiencies found during audits and monitor answers for adequacy Follow up on or plan activities taken on deficiencies that caused issuance of a Corrective Action Report Issue quarterly management report reflecting status of the Corrective Action System Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies Maintain quality metrics related to internal and external audit results, customer issues, corrective actions, and primary management of the risk register Clearly understand ISO 9001’s requirements and ensure audits are in line with keeping the organization compliant Provide training and mentorship on corrective action responses and immediate containment methods Qualifications MIL‑Q‑9858, ISO 9000, Word and basic SPC knowledge ASQ Certified Internal Auditor Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and able to deal with people effectively Armtec Competencies Demonstrate ability in the Armtec competencies as an employee: customer focus, ethics and values, problem solving, integrity and trust, functional/technical skills, listening, action‑oriented, composure, and respect for diversity Education & Professional Work Experience Requirements Preference for a bachelor’s degree in business management or certification in QMS Auditing Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Compliance with U.S. export control regulations—eligible for any required U.S. Government authorization Work Hours 4‑10 workweek To Apply Please apply online on the Armtec Career Website: Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
