Stewarding Supervisor

Levy Sector Position Title: Stewarding Supervisor - Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Pay Range: $28.00 to $29.00 Job Summary As a Stewarding Supervisor, you are responsible for supporting daily stewarding operations, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring equipment and supplies are available so the culinary team can deliver exceptional guest experiences. Detailed Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily stewarding operations and ensure tasks are completed to standard Support proper kitchen opening and closing stewarding procedures Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces Ensure all cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) are completed Direct and participate in cleaning of equipment, dish areas, and workspaces Maintain organized and accessible storage areas Ensure team members follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Assist with compliance of health regulations and safety guidelines Support inventory control of smallwares, chemicals, and equipment Coordinate movement and cleaning of kitchen equipment and service items Provide direction and support to stewarding team members during shifts Assist with training of team members and reinforce procedures and standards Communicate with culinary and operations teams to support service execution Respond to operational issues and elevate concerns as needed Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements Experience in a fast-paced food and beverage or hospitality environment Strong knowledge of sanitation and safety practices Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure Basic computer literacy preferred Qualifications Ability to stand or walk for the duration of the shift Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to push or pull equipment up to 250 lbs Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Equal Opportunity Employer Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
