Accountant

**Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking an Interim Accountant - Costing and General Accounting to join their team. As an Interim Accountant - Costing and General Accounting, you will be part of the Accounting and Finance Department supporting the Accounting, Operations, and Cross-Functional Project Teams during a key ERP implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent collaboration abilities which will align successfully in the organization.** **Job Title: Interim Accountant - Costing and General Accounting** **Location: Marengo, IL (McHenry County, IL) - Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)** **Pay Range: $30-45/hr** **What's the Job?** **- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting** **- Prepare monthly journal entries, analyze financial data, and support month-end close activities** **- Conduct variance analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions** **- Assist with product costing activities, including tracking production costs, updating standard costs, and analyzing cost variances** **- Participate in cross-functional initiatives, including ERP implementation support, product launches, and cost improvement projects** **What's Needed?** **- Bachelor's degree in Accounting** **- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment** **- Knowledge of cost accounting concepts, including standard costing and variance analysis** **- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs** **- Experience working with ERP systems and strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills** **What's in it for me?** **- 6-month interim assignment supporting a major ERP implementation initiative** **- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days onsite per week** **- Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both general accounting and manufacturing cost accounting** **- Exposure to cross-functional teams and operational decision-making processes** **- Collaborative environment working alongside accounting and operations professionals** **If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
