Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Read and interpret shop orders to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. 2. Follow work instructions for rolling tubes, sawing, shearing, bending, and other metal fabrication processes. 3. Operate saws, shears, rollers, presses, plasma cutters, drills, and other fabrication tools. 4. Set stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or template. 5. May perform sandblasting and assist in the powder coat area. 6. Position and align parts using stops, dies, or layout marks. 7. Activate machines using buttons, switches, or pedals; monitor operation for defects or malfunctions. 8. Measure part dimensions to verify accuracy. 9. Remove burrs, sharp edges, or defects from parts; clean and degrease as needed. 10. Ensure all containers and parts are properly labeled with part number and quantity. 11. Stack, organize, and transport both raw materials and finished goods. 12. Move products between work areas using forklifts or other material handling equipment. 13. Record time and job data in the computer system. 14. Maintain general housekeeping of the work area. 15. Works as member of DHI Team, handling whatever assignments are necessary to meet production schedule.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to read and understand simple written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Ability to read and use tape measures. Capability to complete basic production and employee-related paperwork accurately. Problem-solving skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out written and oral instructions. Basic computer skills for data entry and timekeeping. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic maintenance equipment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Manufacturing experience, preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Certified forklift driver. May be required to wear respirators (half-mask and/or full hood). PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist and move about the facility. Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds, and have ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to distinguish colors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to operate a computer, use the telephone, sit, kneel, squat and lay. Frequent exposure to elements such as odors, oil, fumes and noise. Employee must wear required personal protective equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses with side shields, goggles/face shields, hearing protection in designated areas, Kevlar gloves, and/or other equipment as task dictate. For specific equipment, see the Hazard Assessment for the work area and type of operation being performed.
