Duties

• Lead and supervise culinary staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on excellence in food service and safety
• Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of all menu items across various service areas including fine dining, catering, and banquets
• Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating dietary requirements and current culinary trends to delight guests
• Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize costs while maintaining high standards of food safety sanitizing procedures
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular training and monitoring of kitchen practices
• Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff, overseeing food preparation, and maintaining smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
• Implement food service management strategies that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience within a high-volume culinary environment such as fine dining restaurants or catering services
• Extensive banquet experience with knowledge of large-scale food production for events
• Strong background in dietary department operations, including accommodating special dietary needs
• Demonstrated expertise in food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and kitchen management best practices
• Experience managing inventory control systems, cost control measures, and menu planning processes
• Leadership experience managing teams as a chef or culinary supervisor in the food industry
• Familiarity with restaurant management systems, shift management, and hospitality standards
