Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles. Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract CHEMO CERT PREFERRED, NOT REQ Unit Information Unit Type: PCU Oncology (5 North) Primary Patient Population: Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients Number of Beds: 18 Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience required yes First-time travelers are accepted yes Is both Oncology and PCU experience required, or is strong PCU experience without Oncology experience acceptable oncology preferred requiredCertifications BLS Required ACLS Required ONS/ONCC Required or Preferred (current preferred, not required) Ratios Days: 1:4-1:5 Nights: 1:4-1:5Shifts 12-hour shifts 0630a 7:00p 0630p 7:00a Every other weekend Self-scheduling - but will balance to the needs of the unitFloating Travelers float to other Med/Surg and PCU units yes Float assignments remain at the same level of care yes EMR: Epic IV Pumps Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
