Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Medical Assistant (CMA) certification: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire: Preferred
- Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment: Required
- At least two years recent experience in the field: Required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients.
- Coordinate nursing care activities with other healthcare disciplines under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN).
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve patient care objectives.
- Identify and seek solutions for any clinical problems, reporting them to the affected department.
- Obtain vital signs and report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
- Perform venipunctures as ordered and conduct audiometry and vision testing.
