High‑level modeling expertise, including effective post‑processing to convey key conclusions. Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Heat Transfer or Fluid Mechanics. 5+ years of deep technical and functional expertise in conduction, convection (passive and active), and radiation. Numerical modeling techniques and concepts (convergence, discretization, and meshing). Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Heat Transfer or Fluid Mechanics. Thorough understanding of heat sinks, heat pipes, vapor chambers, fans, blowers, and non‑traditional air movers, aero‑acoustics. CAD and CFD tools such as NX, Ansys, Share‑CCM. Optimization techniques. Scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, etc.). MATLAB, C++, R, JMP or equivalent toolkit for data analysis. Flow and thermal measurement techniques. Manufacturing processes (e.g., heatsink fabrication). Creative problem‑solving and ability to devise novel solutions to complex, multi‑discipline design problems. Persistent attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Pay & Benefits Base pay range: $143,100 – $264,200 (dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location).
