A rewarding opportunity awaits a Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a part-time, contract position working with elementary students. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting young learners in a specialized setting. You’ll work with a dedicated caseload of nine K-2 students, helping foster communication development and academic success.
Key Details:
- Position is part-time, totaling 7 hours per week
- Assignment covers the 26’-27’ academic year (exact dates to be confirmed)
- New hire orientation scheduled for August 12-14
- Onsite services only; remote work is not available
- Open to experienced SLPs (CCC) and strong Clinical Fellows (CF)
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required (please be prepared to present a screenshot of your credentials)
- Experience with school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse communication and educational needs
- Willingness to collaborate closely with educators and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a manageable caseload of nine K-2 students
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized plans based on student goals and IEP requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation for student progress and service logs
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings as required and communicate progress effectively with parents and staff
