Position: Multilingual (ML) Teacher

Position Summary:
Benton Community School Corporation is accepting applications for a Multilingual (ML) Teacher at Prairie Crossing Elementary.

Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in instructional support for English Learners and utilize pull-out methods when appropriate to best meet their educational needs.
• Co-plan and co-teach with classroom teachers
• Support implementation of SIOP instructional strategies
• Collaborate with district ML staff
• Assist with student screening and WIDA assessments
• Coordinate ML instructional aides
• Support family communication and engagement
• Participate in required professional development

Program Notes:
The selected candidate will work in collaboration with the district Teacher of Record during the 2026 2027 school year. Beginning in the 2027 2028 school year, the ML Teacher will assume Teacher of Record responsibilities, including compliance and ILP oversight.

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana teaching license required
• EL/ML certification preferred or willingness to obtain
