Position Summary:

Assist in the loan process by verifying information in all loan files, ordering documents needed to complete the files, updating information on the computer system and paying property taxes on escrows in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures and compliance with pertinent regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews incoming documents to assure complete, accurate information and update information on computer system. Requests and verifies accuracy of incoming data and coordinates any problems/discrepancies with borrowers and loan originators. Assembles and analyzes borrower data and computes ratios for submission to loan underwriters. Prepares and sends commitment letters and adverse action notices. Complete data entry for loan and verify final loan terms.
• Receives credit reports, appraisals, surveys, and title commitments by faxing appropriate order forms to vendors. Prepares verification forms for income, deposits and rent for mail, sending or telephone as requested.
• Receives and follows up on outstanding documentation. Upon receipt of sufficient information to make a loan decision, assembles, updates and analyzes data in a timely manner for loan underwriter review.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.
• Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Has experience with different types of mortgage loans, escrow and ARM requirements.
• A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
• Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
• Can type at 40 wpm.

Each grade is assigned a salary range which consists of a minimum, midpoint, and maximum rate. The Mortgage Loan Processor position is a Grade 8.

Target Range: $31.61 to $39.52*

* The target range for entry in a new position is between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience and qualifications.
