Emergency Room Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room plays a vital role in providing high-quality, urgent care to patients with acute medical conditions. This position requires collaboration with healthcare teams to assess, plan, and deliver timely interventions while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status promptly upon arrival, gathering comprehensive clinical information.
• Analyze assessment data to identify diagnoses, issues, and immediate care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on stabilizing and treating emergency cases.
• Execute the prescribed plan of care, adjusting interventions as necessary based on patient response.
• Educate patients and families about urgent care procedures and ongoing health management.
• Maintain adherence to hospital protocols, safety standards, and stroke and trauma care guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Possess current Montana Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS or Pediatric Emergency Nursing, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1-year emergency nursing or critical care experience.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Show proficiency in emergency care procedures, patient assessment, and ethical practice.
