Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response / Travel Contract)

Riverside, CA | Acute Care – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 6-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients with a ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity
• Perform and interpret AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) throughout assigned shifts
• Manage active labor, including titrating medications and performing cervical exams and NSTs
• Execute obstetric emergency maneuvers (e.g., McRoberts) and assist with procedures in the OR and OB PACU as needed
• Float to Postpartum/Couplet Care as required, providing couplet care for mother and newborn
• Utilize GE fetal monitoring equipment and document care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of California
• BLS certification required — must be included in submission packet
• ACLS certification required — must be included in submission packet
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required — must be included in submission packet
• AWHONN EFM certification required — must be included in submission packet
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Ability to provide couplet care when floated to Postpartum unit
• No special scheduling requests or time-off requests can be accommodated for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• More than 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Experience as a Transition Nurse or with newborn catching/delivery support
• Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous patient needs
