Corporate Tax Services - Manager - Advisory/Consulting

Hybrid - multiple office locations

up to $145k base (plus bonus, overtime and equity)

We're partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed advisory firm that's continuing to invest in its Corporate Tax practice.

\n

\n

If you're looking to move beyond a traditional compliance role while continuing to leverage your ASC 740 expertise , this could be an excellent next step.

Unlike many corporate tax roles, you'll work across a diverse portfolio of mid-market and PE-backed clients, gaining exposure to advisory work alongside core tax provision and compliance responsibilities.

\n

\n

You'll have the opportunity to:

\n

\n
• Lead corporate tax accounting and tax compliance engagements for clients across a variety of industries.
\n
• Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
\n
• Review federal, state, and consolidated corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers to ensure quality and compliance.
\n
• Partner with clients to address complex tax accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting matters.
\n
• Lead technical tax research related to federal, state, and international tax regulations and prepare or review tax memoranda.
\n
• Manage project workstreams, coordinate engagement activities, and ensure timely, high-quality client deliverables.
\n
• Mentor Consultants by providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
\n
• Participate in tax planning engagements, proposal development, client relationship management, and business development initiatives.
\n

\n

Ideal background

\n

You will be:

\n

\n
• A Tax Senior or early Manager within a Big 4 or Top 10 firm (5 - 8 years experience)
\n
• Strong in ASC 740 tax provisions and corporate tax compliance
\n
• Strong 1120c experience
\n
• Ideally CPA qualified or actively pursuing qualification
\n
• Looking for greater variety, client exposure and faster career progression
\n

Probably not the right fit if:

\n
• Your experience is primarily SALT, indirect tax or VAT
\n
• You haven't worked extensively with ASC 740 tax provisions
\n
• You're looking exclusively for an in-house industry role
\n
