Create customized treatment strategies focused on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills, language fluency, voice use, and swallowing techniques. Work collaboratively with a dedicated team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Educate patients and their families to promote continued progress beyond therapy sessions. Be prepared to assist with inpatient therapy evaluations and treatments when needed, maintaining a seamless continuum of care. Ensure precise and timely documentation that complies with all state, federal, and institutional regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development and remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech therapy. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a guided Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-supported treatment techniques appropriate for various age groups and a deep understanding of speech, language, and swallowing impairments. Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility in adapting therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds and language needs. Strong analytical thinking and clinical problem-solving skills.
