Pediatric Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description Entech Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Pediatric Medical Assistant to join a busy pediatric healthcare practice. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families and is comfortable providing both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities * Greet and room pediatric patients and their parents/guardians * Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and medical history * Prepare patients for examinations and procedures * Assist physicians and clinical staff with routine pediatric care * Administer vaccines and injections as directed * Occationally draw blood * Perform or assist with basic laboratory testing and specimen collection * Prepare and maintain patient charts and medical records * Update medications, allergies, and patient information * Assist with referrals, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments * Answer phones and respond to patient/parent questions professionally * Schedule appointments and assist with check-in/check-out as needed * Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms * Follow all HIPAA, infection-control, and office safety procedures * Provide a friendly, reassuring experience for young patients and their families Qualifications * Previous Medical Assistant experience required; pediatric experience a must * Pediatric office experience is highly desirable * High school diploma or equivalent * Medical Assistant diploma, or state certification * Current BLS certification with the American Heart Association or willing to obtain * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work comfortably with infants, children, and adolescents * Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor * Reliable, dependable attendance Why Join Entech?
