Programs Underwriter

Overview Location: Chicago, IL Programs Underwriter – An exciting opportunity with a growing specialty insurer that is investing in its US Programs business. This role involves working with an experienced underwriting team and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial business written through established MGA partnerships. Responsibilities Underwrite commercial program business referred outside delegated authority. Apply underwriting guidelines, pricing and risk appetite. Conduct underwriting and authority audits with MGA partners. Build strong relationships with assigned MGAs. Support the continued growth and profitability of the Programs portfolio. What We're Looking For 3-7 years of Commercial Underwriting experience. Experience in one or more of the following: Commercial Property, Casualty, Auto, Inland Marine, Excess or Package. Exposure to classes such as Habitational, Hospitality, Transportation, Manufacturing, Wholesale or Mercantile is advantageous. Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills. Previous desk underwriting and quoting experience.
