Sr. Accountant, General Ledger

Overview The Position : Sr. Accountant, General Ledger. At STACK, you will be responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of all general ledger accounting, participate in the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and support the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities Complete the month-end close process and prepare journal entries; evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately Manage and maintain fixed asset accounting and capitalization policies Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed Assist the Accounting Manager in reviewing the work of the Staff Accountant Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit Work cross-functionally with various departments and teams to understand operating results and create efficiencies in accounting processes Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including Revenue Accounting, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Tax, Finance and Treasury teams Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forward Identify and implement ideas for process improvement Details Location: Denver, CO – 3 days in office Travel: less than 10% Benefits: Healthcare, Dental Care, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Leave Programs Must be eligible to work in the United States Must pass comprehensive background screening Must-have Qualifications BS in Accounting required 3+ years prior work experience CPA and public accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP Multi-entity and international experience preferred NetSuite experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel Detail-oriented Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures Compensation & Benefits Compensation range will be commensurate with experience Why STACK?
