Surgery Scheduler

Overview As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services. Every day, you will manage scheduling and resource allocation while meticulously entering and maintaining data. You will also produce schedules and oversee template maintenance. To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling systems. Responsibilities Identifies opportunities and participates in improving the quality of patient care and/or work processes. Participates in department/clinic-based teams and projects. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to support changing needs of the organization. Utilizes, maintains and allocates equipment and supplies so that time, energy and/or funds are expended in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Involves others as appropriate (staff/departments) in planning and prioritizing work. Utilizes time efficiently through proper time management, including assisting others and accomplishing other work-related tasks. Qualifications High school diploma required (or equivalent) One (1) year experience in a surgery scheduling setting and/or minimum two (2) years clinical back office experience required Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills required Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software are required, as is experience with other types of standard office equipment Being a team player, able to multi-task, self-starter, detail oriented and proactive required Current California CMA cert preferred Familiarity with an electronic practice management system is preferred Experience with multi-line phones/ACD phones preferred Medical terminology preferred Where You'll Work Dignity Health Medical Foundation, established in 1993, is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation with care centers throughout California.
