Chief Medical Officer
Access Labs
Job Description
Access Medical Labs is one of the largest specialty diagnostic labs in the country, using 50% less blood and delivering next-day results. We offer a comprehensive test menu—from routine panels to advanced biomarkers—across blood, saliva, and urine, performing over 1,000 tests under one roof. Our ultra-automated facilities, spanning over 55,000 sq. ft., are powered by the most cutting-edge diagnostic technology and innovative lab logistics available.
\n \nSince 2003, we’ve been committed to delivering a truly exceptional client experience backed by precise and reliable testing. Every innovation we pursue is driven by one purpose: making personalized medicine more practical and accessible.
\n \nCompany culture is the foundation of Access Medical Laboratories. We continue to attract mission-driven and goal-oriented professionals to our organization, where each individual and team is recognized for their accomplishments. We place a significant amount of value on teamwork and mentorship, enabling each individual to consistently grow and develop. At Access, each team member has a sense of belonging, family, and community. We enjoy coming to work every day in an environment where people feel empowered, understanding that each team member plays a significant role in providing peace of mind to patients nationally.

- Ensure that the laboratory, when applicable, is enrolled in a proficiency testing program acceptable to the department for the testing performed and that the laboratory adheres to the proficiency testing program’s administrative and technical requirements as well as department standards for proficiency testing; \n
- Ensure that the laboratory reviews all proficiency testing reports received and investigates and takes remedial and corrective actions when an unacceptable or unsatisfactory result is identified; \n
- Ensure that the laboratory participates in monitoring and evaluating the quality and suitability of services rendered, within the context of a quality management system, regardless of where the testing is performed; \n
- Ensure that a procedure for control of nonconformities is established that complies with the department’s clinical laboratory standards of practice; \n
- Ensure that reports of test results include pertinent information required for the interpretation of laboratory data; \n
- Ensure consultation is available to the laboratory’s clients regarding the significance of laboratory findings; \n
- Ensure that sufficient qualified personnel are employed with documented education, training, and/or experience to supervise, perform, and report the work of the laboratory; \n
- Ensure that policies and procedures are established for monitoring staff to assess competency and, whenever necessary, to provide remedial training to improve skills; \n
- Ensure that a current, accurate, and complete procedure manual is available to all personnel; \n
- Specify in writing the responsibilities and duties of all laboratory personnel; \n
- Maintain an effective working relationship with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies, administrative officials, and the medical community; \n
- Set goals, develop, and allocate resources within the laboratory; and \n
- Provide effective administrative direction of the laboratory, in conjunction with the individual(s) responsible for financial management of the laboratory, to ensure adequate resources are available to operate the laboratory in a manner consistent with all State and Federal requirements. \n
