As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Full Time in Skokie, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, entrances, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and tenant activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Support closing and opening activities, crowd management, and/or special event needs as directed, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
