Position Summary: This role will join the Pricing and Data Team for the company’s Long-Term Care business line. Working under moderate supervision, the Senior Actuarial Analyst I will create, implement, and improve processes that will be used for enforce management, experience monitoring, and other pricing projects. The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in an evolving environment and will use their analytical skills to integrate the expertise of company Long-Term Care professionals into their work product. This position requires active participation in the Actuarial Student Program, working toward eventual attainment of Associateship or Fellowship status. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate, prepare, and perform actuarial analyses to assist in the development and recommendation of pricing strategies Analyze emerging policy and claim experience, identifying the key drivers of variances from plan and communicate these variances and underlying business drivers to manager Develop rate indications, evaluate pricing levels, and analyze profitability Communicate results of actuarial analyses to more senior actuaries Perform research, experience studies, and other statistical analyses Complete actuarial tasks and analysis related to premium rate levels using Actuarial software (Moody's Analytics AXIS, SAS) On an ongoing basis, improve, and automate all processes related to job function Demonstrate proficiency with advanced Excel techniques and programming Maintain and validate actuarial models Develop and maintain documentation of actuarial analysis Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Experience & Skills Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline 2+ years of related experience; insurance experience preferred Strong mathematical background Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communications Minimum of 3 actuarial exams on the path towards an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation (may have completed Associateship) Why Join Us?
