Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Automotive Manufacturing | ISO 14001 | OSHA | Environmental Compliance

Join a growing automotive manufacturing organization as the site's EHS leader, responsible for driving safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement across a high-volume, three-shift operation.

What You'll Do

Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs and initiatives.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
Manage and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Oversee environmental permits, reporting, audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for all levels of the organization.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and Quality to reduce risk and improve workplace safety.
Manage workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and safety metrics.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, contractor safety, and employee engagement initiatives.
Serve as the primary EHS contact for regulatory agencies, customers, auditors, and insurers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of EHS leadership experience within manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, workers' compensation, and risk management programs.
Experience supporting industrial operations such as machining, casting, assembly, maintenance, warehousing, or similar manufacturing environments.
Proven success leading audits, investigations, compliance programs, and culture-change initiatives.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to support a three-shift operation with occasional off-hours response.

Preferred

Automotive manufacturing experience.
Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.
Experience with sustainability, waste reduction, and environmental reporting initiatives.
