Senior Business Analyst

Work Location: Anywhere within the US (80% -100% Remote) The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for multiple projects that support the Texas Education agency's mission in improving outcomes for Texas students. Duties This position performs advanced, senior-level business analysis work. The position may support more than one project or be assigned to special projects at any time. The business analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow. This BA will be involved at some level throughout the entire software development life cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements, including requirements for enhancements post-implementation. An Ideal Candidate should come with: 3-8 years of relevant work experience Demonstrated work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements" Demonstrated work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira" Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience. Knowledge of Business process re‑engineering and software process flow improvement Previous experience in development of user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices Ability to design mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices Effective communication and facilitation skills A strong writing and organization skills A demonstrated experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency #J-18808-Ljbffr
