Responsibilities Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of employees, customers, and communities in which we operate and transport our products as our highest priority. Provide attention to detail and dedication to work to ensure reliability of the work site and high-quality product. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment at prescribed intervals. Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems. Consult directly with vendors on problems for resolution, if necessary. Maintain, update, report, requisition, and document Electrical department records and resources to assure availability and dependability of equipment, tools, spare parts, outside repairs, specifications, equipment history, vendor resources, and library resources. Write notifications on findings. Provide technical assistance to production and engineering groups on application and modification of electrical equipment. Utilize SAP for spares, history, and scheduling. Write, plan, schedule, execute, and close work orders. Help maintain and update electronic files and hardcopy instrument files. Continuously improve by staying informed and educated on current safety, technical, and quality practices. Keep shop, tools, and work area organized and clean. Maintain prints and files in proper place. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Journeyman’s license. Five plus years electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR three years plus maintenance experience with completion of an accredited electrical training program. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and comprehend detailed written instructions. Working knowledge of National Electrical Code. Proficiency in troubleshooting 120 volt AC controls, 480V, 2400 V, and 13.8 KV switchgear. Proficiency in motor repair, inspection, and troubleshooting motor control systems. Proficiency in inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of distribution and power transformers. Proficiency in troubleshooting using loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, and P&I drawings. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work overtime to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Knowledgeable with computers. Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Valid driver’s license. Safety and Physical Requirements High level of safety and environmental awareness. Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, walk, bend, and stoop. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
